Some Window Styles We Recommend for Living Rooms

December 12, 2017

Living rooms are your home’s centerpiece. The right replacement windows can make your living room a great place to entertain guests and give your home a boost in curb appeal. Here are some of our recommended window styles for your living room.

Some Window Styles We Recommend for Living Rooms

Casement Windows

No matter how big your living room is, you can’t go wrong with casement windows. When opened, this window style allows 100% of the window area to be used, which provides ample ventilation to large living rooms. When closed, casement window sashes press against the frame, which makes it the most energy efficient operable window style. Casement windows can be built as a modern single-sash or as a traditional French-style with a dual sash system.

Specialty Windows

We offer specialty windows for a remodeling project that calls for something unique. Our specialty windows are available in 13 standard window shapes that include curved windows, triangles and windows with more than four sides. You can choose standalone specialty windows, just like clerestory windows, or in combination with other living room window styles. A popular combination is our Circle Top™ window combined with casement windows.

Picture Windows

Beautiful views can make a great impression on your guests; they even make a great conversation starter. If you happen to have a spectacular view right outside your living room, make the most of it with picture windows. The uninterrupted glass areas also let more natural light in, making your living room look bigger and more inviting. If you’re worried that the increased sunlight might fade your window treatments, our High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass options feature low-emissivity coatings that block up to 95% of harmful UV and infrared rays.

Bay and Bow Windows

Bay and bow windows add volume to your living room, both visually and physically. The bay space can be made into a combination window seat and storage space, all without occupying additional living room floor space. Whether your home style calls for angular bay windows or curved bow windows, you can enjoy the benefits afforded by Renewal by Andersen® replacement windows.

Hear From Our Customers

I cant express how happy we are with choosing Andersen for our window installation. Our sales representative was knowledgeable with product and answered any questions we had without hesitation. I did also fill out a survey that was sent in an email, but sadly I failed to personally name the two gentlemen that performed the actual installation. Barrett and Francisco were our guys, and let me tell you, they were outstanding!!! They did Excellent work and were professional as well as efficient and made this a smooth, none evasive process for us. I strongly recommend this company and these installers to anyone in need of windows!!! My husband and I could not be more pleased we chose Andersen for replacing our windows!!!

This was a great crew to work with. Both the original install manager we worked with (Jay) and the install team (Daniel, Mason, Tony, Ethan, and Jose). Everyone was very professional and knowledgable. They answered all my questions and the end result on the house is great. In 3 days they replaced an old bay window with a new bay window, a set of french doors on the patio with a sliding patio door, and our old front door with a new front door and storm door.

Jason and Brett did an awesome job installing our doors. We had separate installers a month earlier for our windows who also did a fantastic job. They were all very professional and cleaned up almost better than the area looked before the installation! Since these were both jobs that took more than one day the installers were great at keeping us informed on the status of where the project was at along the way.
