Expert Installations That Ensure Your New Windows Perform Optimally
Any home renovation can be daunting if you are not properly informed on the process. Without a step-by-step guide, you could be left with questions every step of the way. That is why Renewal by Andersen® of Milwaukee has put together this simple, 7 Step guide to our replacement process.
Pre-Installation Custom Measurements
The process begins with taking custom measurements at your home in order to design windows and doors that will fit the exact specifications of your home.

What To Expect on the Day of Installation:
7 step guide to our replacement process
Step One:
Our Crew Arrives at Your Door
Once our installation crew has the correct measurements, a crew from Renewal by Andersen® of Milwaukee will come to your home in one of our revolutionary installation trucks. Inside, we will have everything necessary to perform your specific job, including window and door materials, tools, and cleaning supplies.

Step Two:
Your Home is Protected from Construction
Our team will carefully cover any furniture and valuables and will wear protective footwear to ensure no mud or dirt is tracked into your home. We prefer two to three feet of clear space around your windows and doors prior to our arrival.

Step Three:
Your Older Windows are Removed
As we remove the existing window, we install the new window at the exact same time limiting the exposure of the outside in. Our deeply experienced crew will know how to remove your window without causing any damage to your home.

Step Four:
Your New Windows Are Installed
Thanks to our pre-installation measurements, once your existing window is removed our job becomes simple. All we have to do is fit your replacement window directly into the open area, and if the area has become un-level, as is common in older homes, our team will take the necessary steps to create a level surface for your new window. We will then test every aspect of your replacement window, making sure that they open and close with ease and that the sashes of the window operate properly.

Step Five:
Your Home is Sealed to the Elements
There will be a small gap between your new replacement window and the frame of your house. Your installers fill this gap with insulating foam specially designed for our replacement window. Once in place, your window will be airtight, weatherproof, and energy efficient.

Step Six:
Our Finishing Touches are Applied
The foam that is used to insulate your window is not exactly visually appealing. Your installation team will cover it with trim that matches the color and style of your new window. This trim acts as an insulator and is water resistant.

Step Seven:
We Clean Up Our Workspace
When delivered, each of your new windows and doors are covered with a protective film. Step seven involves the removal of this film, the cleaning of our work area, the shining of any glass areas, and uncovering your furniture and floors. This completes our installation process, and the only difference you will see in your home is the brand new windows and doors sealed tight from the elements.
