Finding the Right Window for Every Room

Finding the Right Window for Every Room

May 14, 2018

In any home, several rooms play a unique role. This means you need to consider the right windows for them because the right type can brighten the space and provide natural ventilation. Here’s what our experts at Renewal by Andersen® of Milwaukee, the area’s trusted experts in replacement windows, follow when advising our clients about matching windows to individual rooms.

Finding the Right Window for Every Room

Living Room

The living room is one of the biggest areas in your home. Traditional windows like double-hung windows can help give your home a nice, timeless appeal. However, they may not be as effective if there is a good view outside.

To show off the view, we suggest specialty windows that match the existing window opening. For example, large picture windows can bring in lots of sunlight and enhance the effect of the view.

Bathroom

The bathroom is a place of tidiness and privacy. Emphasize this function with a nice skyline or transom window, which can give you lots of natural sunlight without negotiating privacy. If you want better ventilation, we suggest more operable windows like casement windows.

Dining Room

Consider that the dining room is where you’ll be serving and eating meals. From day to night, your needs for sunlight and ventilation will vary. Because of this, it is recommended to choose smaller windows. Double-hung and sliding windows can help brighten the room without overstaying its welcome at night.

Bedroom

Make sure the position and size of your windows are suitable for the bedroom. It’s not pleasant if you are accidentally awakened by the first light of day, for example. If you want operable windows that give you nice ventilation, we recommend casement windows. They can admit the breeze or stop the heat on a summer day.

At Renewal by Andersen, we customize our windows to fit your measurements and give you the best experience all day. Want to know more about our window services? Call us at (262) 522-3034 to get in touch with our contractors in Milwaukee, WI.

Hear From Our Customers

This was a great crew to work with. Both the original install manager we worked with (Jay) and the install team (Daniel, Mason, Tony, Ethan, and Jose). Everyone was very professional and knowledgable. They answered all my questions and the end result on the house is great. In 3 days they replaced an old bay window with a new bay window, a set of french doors on the patio with a sliding patio door, and our old front door with a new front door and storm door.

I cant express how happy we are with choosing Andersen for our window installation. Our sales representative was knowledgeable with product and answered any questions we had without hesitation. I did also fill out a survey that was sent in an email, but sadly I failed to personally name the two gentlemen that performed the actual installation. Barrett and Francisco were our guys, and let me tell you, they were outstanding!!! They did Excellent work and were professional as well as efficient and made this a smooth, none evasive process for us. I strongly recommend this company and these installers to anyone in need of windows!!! My husband and I could not be more pleased we chose Andersen for replacing our windows!!!

Jason and Brett did an awesome job installing our doors. We had separate installers a month earlier for our windows who also did a fantastic job. They were all very professional and cleaned up almost better than the area looked before the installation! Since these were both jobs that took more than one day the installers were great at keeping us informed on the status of where the project was at along the way.
