It was founded on the 25th of July, 1903 by Danish Immigrant Hans Andersen. Together with his family in Hudson, Wisconsin, they tended to logs that arrived via the St. Croix River and started the Andersen Lumber Company. In 1929, it was changed to Andersen Frame Company before finally being renamed in 1937 to what is now known as Andersen Corporation.
Today, the company is as an international enterprise headquartered in Bayport, Minnesota and employs more than 9,000 at more than 20 locations across North America. Available in 100 markets including Milwaukee, it easily is one of the largest replacement window and door companies in the country.
