All You Need To Know About French Doors

All You Need To Know About French Doors

August 06, 2015

There’s something about the French door that makes it a perfect fit for any home. It combines the best features of both a window and a door in one beautiful package. Renewal by Andersen® – Milwaukee lists all you need to know about the venerable French door.

French Door

What is it?

The defining characteristic of these doors in Wisconsin is that these are primarily composed of panels of glass. These windows normally come as a pair, are hinged, and swing to open or close. While generally used as patio doors—linking the outside and the inside—these can be used indoors, as well. French doors work particularly well in connecting social areas like an outdoor deck and the living area or even the dining and living rooms.

What makes it special?

As these can come off as additional windows, French doors draw in a lot of light. This feature makes these doors the ideal choice for those who enjoy a touch of natural lighting. A household that focuses on health benefits will find French doors appealing. After all, natural light increases Vitamin D levels in the body that helps in the absorption of other vitamins and minerals.

Why go for Renewal by Andersen – Milwaukee?

The biggest benefit of getting your French patio door from Renewal by Andersen – Milwaukee is that our products are built to be energy-efficient. As a standard, we use Fibrex® for our frames and High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass for our panes. These are exclusive to your favorite windows contactor in Milwaukee, as the combination strongly resists heat transfer. This will help you to save on your energy bills each month.

For a mix of convenient functionality and beautiful aesthetics, French patio doors are a great investment. Give Renewal by Andersen – Milwaukee a call today; we’ll be more than happy to help you find the perfect custom patio door design for your home.

Hear From Our Customers

Jason and Brett did an awesome job installing our doors. We had separate installers a month earlier for our windows who also did a fantastic job. They were all very professional and cleaned up almost better than the area looked before the installation! Since these were both jobs that took more than one day the installers were great at keeping us informed on the status of where the project was at along the way.

This was a great crew to work with. Both the original install manager we worked with (Jay) and the install team (Daniel, Mason, Tony, Ethan, and Jose). Everyone was very professional and knowledgable. They answered all my questions and the end result on the house is great. In 3 days they replaced an old bay window with a new bay window, a set of french doors on the patio with a sliding patio door, and our old front door with a new front door and storm door.

I cant express how happy we are with choosing Andersen for our window installation. Our sales representative was knowledgeable with product and answered any questions we had without hesitation. I did also fill out a survey that was sent in an email, but sadly I failed to personally name the two gentlemen that performed the actual installation. Barrett and Francisco were our guys, and let me tell you, they were outstanding!!! They did Excellent work and were professional as well as efficient and made this a smooth, none evasive process for us. I strongly recommend this company and these installers to anyone in need of windows!!! My husband and I could not be more pleased we chose Andersen for replacing our windows!!!
