Hours: Tuesday – Friday 10 am – 7 pm, Saturday 9 am – 3 pm
Late hours may be necessary or required at times
NOTE: Request for time off slips for vacation or pre-planned time off, adjusting schedule needs approval 2 weeks in advance. Calling in sick or personal time must be to Manager 2 hours prior to shift starting. Proper back up plan must be in place.
The Canvassing Supervisor is in charge of a canvassing team of 3 employees whom go into neighborhoods and talk to home owners to set appointments to have a design specialist provide a quote for Renewal by Andersen windows and doors.
Develop team of canvassers that will produce specific company goals for a canvassing team. Follow all procedures in canvassing system including utilization of provided script. Canvassing teams are 3 canvassers and 1 supervisor. The supervisor is also a full time canvasser meeting or exceeding daily, weekly and monthly goals.
Work with Call Center lead and Marketing Director to develop daily meetings with Call center and canvass team. These are meant as training and motivational meetings.
Assist Marketing Director in developing new or updated scripts as needed.
Supervise and train canvassers:
The canvassing supervisor is responsible for supervision of all canvassers on his/her team while in the field. They are also responsible to help in the development, training and utilization of these canvassers to meet individual and team goals as well as company objectives.
Every Tuesday at 11:00 am the Canvassing Supervisor, Call Center Supervisor and Marketing Director will meet to go over previous weeks results. Develop action plans including any actions needed to be taken with any of their team members.
Assist Marketing Director in interview process of any prospective employees.
The supervisor coordinates with Marketing Director to target desired towns to canvass and uses all information available to the company to select targeted neighborhoods. Each Friday, the canvassing supervisor meets with the Marketing Director to determine the areas to be canvassed the following week. Streets that will be canvassed are printed and brought to Friday meeting. Streets that are not in the target market for will be crossed off.
Upon arrival at the office on Fridays, all pages of the supervisors map book that have been updated in the previous week of canvassing are transferred to the Master map book. Also, master demographic map is updated with all scouted streets not previously known to the company. (This may be computerized)
In the field:
The supervisor will be responsible to make sure they have all of the marketing materials needed in the field for canvassing, and check it regularly.
- Google maps of areas. Plan A, B and C
- Daily lead hour report
- Lead slips
- Appointment cards
- Street sheets
- Door Hangers
- Clip boards
Finding the targeted area: Each week the supervisor prints out a Google map with directions to the targeted neighborhood. Name of 3 closest jobs is put in Google map notes. The supervisor must take special care to insure there is no wasted time in the office, or on the road. Maximizing canvassing time is critical.
Upon arrival to targeted area, supervisor maps out plan to efficiently canvass the area.
Time management is critical. If a neighborhood is finished and there are 10 minutes left in the day, the supervisor looks for a few more homes the team can canvass. Always canvass the full allotted time.
